About the bell

I will circulate your merits

The rim-washi bell (also known as Kyizi) is a bell that has been used in temple ceremonies and by devout Buddhists in Myanmar.

To bring about good fortune, the bell is rung during prayers to circulate good fortune. It is said to ward off bad luck and bring good luck closer.

It is also said that if you have enough thoughts and merit to convey, it will eventually come back to you.

It has a triangular shape and when you hit the left or right end of the triangle with a wooden stick, it spins around, producing a beautiful sound. The tone changes depending on how you hit it, and the sound resonates for a long time.

The head priest encountered this bell in Myanmar and was so impressed by its heart-warming sound and the culture woven by devout Theravada Buddhists that he gave it to him.
